Whether you’re coming from a Cub Scout pack, another Scouts BSA troop, or are completely new to Scouting, we’re excited you’re here! Scouts BSA Troop 606 is a wonderful place for youth to learn, grow, be challenged and be inspired.
Scouting provides a series of surmountable obstacles and lays out steps for overcoming them through the patrol method. The Scout plans their own advancement, meeting each challenge and progresses at their own pace. The Scout is rewarded for each achievement, whether it be a merit badge or a rank, which helps them gain self-confidence. The steps in the advancement system help a Scout grow in self-reliance and in the ability to help others.
Troop 606 was founded in 2023 and we are growing!
We meet Tuesday evenings at Bethany Lutheran Church, 8 S. Lincoln St., Batavia, IL 60510 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm. We meet in the Elderday Center.
Troop 606 has a robust camping and activity program in place. We camp every month and include fun adventures that include hiking, swimming, boating, climbing and other fun activities. We attend summer camp every July, alternating camps for a well rounded experience. We also volunteer at Feed My Starving Children and look for other service opportunities!
We welcome you to stop in and visit with us!
We hope to see you soon!
Kind regards,
Janice Gentile
